Mirisawetiya Viharaya

This is a branch of mahaviharaya which was built by king dutugamunu to build this veharaya he had eaten a sambal(chilly curry) without given to the monks this stupa now and again modified until the present many ruins are near the temple that ruins also belong to the Mirisawetiya

Abayagri Viharaya

This viharaya is located in the inner town of Anuradapura to the North of maha viharaya,this viharaya is surrounded by 27 monks hostels where monks could learn Buddhisam Abayagiri viharaya was constructed by 01BC by king called wattagamine Abaya Abayagri viharya pagoda was done by king1st Agbo According to monk phahian the Chinese monk the pagoda was 400 feet and it was called the 2nd largest pagoda.

Samadhi Statue

This is situated between Abayagries and kutam pokuna and Abayagiri stupa it is one of most significant statue in the world this statue is world renowned for expressing the feeling of Buddha earlier it was painted with rose colour for body robe was red color but the nature has faded the colures there are many features such as the body is chubby this statue was many times renovated it said that sir Javahal lal nehuru had the impressions given by this statue has recreated his mind when he was in the prison.

Lankaramaya

This temple and stupa was done by wattagamine Abaya Inner compound in 132 feet in circumference According to the excavation by Mr. Smith there should be 88 pillars and lot of ruins but most of them are lost and later put up by the Department of Archeology.

Pancha Wasa

All the sangaramaya which were Administer by Abaya girya there was a large palace which were square actually these puncha wasa was some kind of grinding machines and bathing spots for the monks who were residence there. These were used for conference hall as well.

Sanni patha Hall

This is doubt a conference hall pond is on the south when monk entered the hall they have to clean the feet and enter .this hall is one of the biggest hall to be found.

Eth Pokuna (Elephant pond)

It is located in the south western to Abaya giriya and in the proximity of lanka ramaya .which is 150 meters width of 50 meters the depth is 10meters.

This was supplied two water ways .when Periyankulama Lake is getting full by the rain water, that water drains to this pond.
