Pothgul Viharaya
That this stony statue was created by king parakkaramabahu and later modified his wife prances chandravathi .it is said that structure was introduced by Cambodian engineering method and is said this type of statue is not to be seen anywhere in sri lanka.
Stone statue king parkum
It is located very closed to the pothgul veharaya this statue is craved in granite which is about 11 feet and 6 inches still the figure was not clearly identified .when considering the majestic futures of the statue lot of people say it is of maha parkramabahu the great. Even the connection of Dr: paranavithana also admitted it should be of maha parakrama bahu but some says it is the statue of pulasthi or kapila or Agasthi which of course still not clear even in the statue the tuning it carries is still controversial some says it is aola –leaf but some says it is the part of the Sinhala plough however the facts are not confirmed.
The Museum
Base on the polonnaruwa historical religious ways and this museum is situated by seven rooms and it gives the observer a clear understanding about plonnaruwa it depicts Art data, photograph, state and stone inscriptions. It is noted that on the seventh room the Hindu culture attract all the onlookers attention we can buy books articles from the museum
Parakkrama Samudraya
This lake is one of the great feats of Sinhala Lake making .Actually this huge lake is not one lake but a combination of several lakesTopa weva, Eramadu weva, Dubuthlu wava.kalagahala weva, Bhu weva. The large canal is Angamadilla which is bringing the water of river Aban.
Some parts and covered with jungles the present dam ins 8.5 miles the height is 25 feet the water capacity is feet in acre 5350 and 18000 acre can be irrigated

It is very close to parakkrama samudrya and is said it was used by kingparakkramabahu to have fun later it was developed by king Nissankamalla he build several buildings which include the nissankamala palace, Rajasabava bathing place.
