Dabulla cave Temple

Dabulla is about 148 k/m from Colombo it is a cave complex where we could see thousand of Buddha’s statues and inscriptions.

The history date far back to 1 BC: when this cave were built lot of paintings are on the roof (Ceiling) of the caves, it is believed that the king walagamba was initiated it, most of the caves has many statues a 15 meters large statues founded here, The UNESO has taken steps to restore the ancient glory of this religious place their main idea is to allow the pilgrims a better accessibility future ideas to expand the surroundings is here, this temple has five caves which are decorated with statues of Buddha many kings have contributed to make these cave highly religious
